Tarangire National Park

Overview

Tarangire National Park, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the most underrated gems of East Africa. The park is well-known for its breathtaking scenery, which includes a variety of open grassland, acacia trees, and the magnificent Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of species.

Large elephant herds, some of which can number in the hundreds, are the park’s most well-known feature and provide an absolutely breathtaking animal viewing experience. The park’s distinctive topography, along with its seasonal migration of wildlife, ensures an unforgettable safari adventure.

What truly sets Tarangire apart is its blend of serenity and abundance. The park is often quieter than its more famous neighbors like the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater, allowing visitors to enjoy the wildlife without the crowds.
